The True Meaning of the Word “Consciousness”
In the ancient language once spoken on this planet, words carried a unique and profound essence, unlike modern languages. These words were constructed from letters that encapsulated images and even entire concepts and connections between them. The primary purpose of this ancient language was education, and the concept of “education” literally meant the creation of mental images and relationships in the human mind.
Modern education is reduced to filling the intellect with information without the creation of an understanding of the relationships between objects and natural phenomena. With the passage of time, especially in recent centuries, languages derived from the ancient language underwent substantial simplification. Many letters were thrown out of the alphabet, and the meanings of words were replaced by completely different concepts that had nothing to do with the original meaning of these words. Moreover, numerous new words emerged, devoid of profound content, serving merely as names or abstract labels. Because of this, humanity has lost a huge amount of ancient wisdom and knowledge.
Among the extant languages, Sanskrit and Old Russian are the closest to the ancient language, and in fact, they are essentially the same language, a fact recognized by linguists. Consequently, an examination of Old Russian words can illuminate the genuine meanings of numerous ancient concepts. However, the knowledge encoded in the ancient language does not belong to any civilization – it belongs to the universe and is only reflected in the words of the ancient language.
For example, in the Russian language, there is still a word that means, translated from the ancient language, the state of a person in which they are able to receive messages in the form of feeling directly from the Higher Self. In modern English, such a word no longer exists. The closest but not the same meaning is reflected only by the word “consciousness.” However, the true meaning of the word “consciousness” is the capability of a person to get knowledge from the universe through their spirit, the Higher Self. Therefore, true knowledge of the world comes only when you are connected with your consciousness, not intellect. “Cognition” means the process or action during which this knowledge is acquired and accumulated in consciousness. That is, the process of cognition leads to the development of consciousness.
